Construction, Interiors, Heritage, Design & Construct since 1994

Our staff and the senior managers of our project teams are committed to the satisfaction of our clients’ requirements.  Our reputation for success is outlined in “Projects” and “Clients and Testimonials” and is based on the following principals:

  • A passion for the construction industry and producing high quality work, particularly to improving the quality of public buildings wherever we are involved.
  • Attention to detail from initial estimating and programming through the management of safety, quality and sequencing of activities on site to minimisation of defects, all aimed to maximise satisfaction to staff, subcontractors and Client in meeting expectations on quality, program and cost in a safe environment.
  • Reliability: working hard to provide a consistently good service for clients from reactive maintenance to projects of value up to $5M.

The range of work we carry out is summarised as follows:

  • Reactive Maintenance  for hospitals, universities, schools, and retail premises on both schedules of rates and quotation and appointment.
  • Alteration and Refurbishment,  stripping out premises, extending, altering and re-configuring to new uses, often involving structural alteration, complex laboratories, medical gases, communications and audio visual systems and state of the art energy efficient climate control, lighting and power installations.
  • Internal Fitout  from alteration and upgrade of office, retail and administrative base building mechanical, lighting, power and communication infrastructure and finishes to prestigious tenancy fitout with top quality joinery, fixtures and furniture and state of the art audio visual equipment.
  • Heritage Refurbishment   including on-going inspections by heritage and structural specialists to decide on heritage elements requiring retention, the use of materials and methods compatible with the existing and with compatible and sympathetic alterations to accommodate new uses while maintaining heritage features.
  • Design and Construct:   provide design services by consultants we have worked with previously, or novated from the client, for all or for specific portions of a project’s works.  The works then can run alongside the design process to speed the project and to facilitate construction advice to the design team as the design develops.

Please look through our Past Projects and you will perhaps see one similar to your own.  We can always provide further information on examples and referees or prepare a  expressions of interest in relation to a specific project.

Testimonials

Admiralty HouseAs a result of the current works, it is a great delight to see the main state rooms, including the dining room, reception, study and bedroom looking so well.  The voice and data cabling in the main house has been replaced and the transformation of the gardens in our term is quite remarkable, with a good plan in place for their continuing improvement.

The landscape projects include the pergola, water tank paving, main drive bookleaf wall installation, the summer house and upgraded pathways. Air conditioning is soon to follow.

In all, the complete establishment of house and grounds is now brought to a level of beauty and excellence, which not only reflects great credit on all here today, but also makes me very proud to pass it on to Her Excellency Quentin Bryce and Mr Michael Bryce in a few months’ time.

I thank the many experts, craftsmen and women, and gardening staff who have brought these improvements about and Matthew McDonald, the Custodian and the staff here who have overseen and managed the transformation.

In particular, I should like to make a special mention of: George Phillips of Tanner Architects; Matthew Taylor of Taylor Brammer Landscape Architects; Ignite, who replaced the communications equipment; Peter Carlino and the team from Sydney Building Projects; Peyton Butler, our Property and Services Manager; and Lee, David, Michael and Norm - our gardeners.

Well done to you all and thank you from Marlena and me.
